At aatoto, we believe that gambling should always be an enjoyable form of entertainment — never a source of financial stress, emotional harm, or broken relationships. Our Responsible Gambling programme is built around one principle: giving every Malaysian player the tools, information, and support they need to stay in control at all times. If you ever feel your play is becoming a problem, help is always available.
Gambling responsibly means knowing your limits, playing within your means, and recognising that winning is never guaranteed. Enjoy the game — protect yourself.

Play Responsibly. Know Your Limits.
aatoto serves over 350,000 active members across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and beyond. We take the responsibility that comes with that reach seriously. Problem gambling affects not just the individual — it ripples through families, workplaces, and communities.
That's why responsible gambling is not a peripheral policy at aatoto — it's a core part of how we operate. Every member account comes equipped with tools to set limits, take breaks, and seek help. Our support team receives specific training to identify signs of distress and to respond appropriately and sensitively.
Whether you're placing a small bet on the English Premier League match at Old Trafford, enjoying a live baccarat session after work, or spinning a few slots during a Liga Super Malaysia break — your wellbeing always comes first. The moment the fun stops, it's time to stop.
aatoto's Golden Rule: Gambling is entertainment. It should be funded only from money you can genuinely afford to lose — money set aside for leisure, not for living expenses, rent, bills, or debts. If you are ever gambling with money you cannot afford to lose, please use our responsible gambling tools immediately.
I gamble for entertainment and treat any winnings as a bonus, not an expectation.
I set a weekly or monthly gambling budget and stick to it regardless of outcomes.
I take regular breaks and never chase losses by placing larger or unplanned bets.
I keep gambling separate from my responsibilities — work, family, and finances always come first.
I never gamble under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or when feeling severely stressed or depressed.
I never use gambling as a way to solve financial problems, repay debts, or generate income.
I do not allow others — including minors under the age of 21 — to use my aatoto account.
Every aatoto account includes these tools as standard. Access them at any time through your Account Settings, or contact our support team to activate them on your behalf.
Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week, or month. Once your limit is reached, no further deposits will be accepted until the period resets. Reductions to your deposit limit take effect immediately. Increases require a 7-day cooling-off period before they apply.
Cap the total amount you can wager or lose within a set period. This is separate from your deposit limit and helps prevent extended losing sessions from escalating beyond what you're comfortable with. Activate through Account Settings or contact our 24/7 support team.
Set a maximum session length and receive on-screen reminders at configurable intervals showing how long you've been playing and your net win/loss for the session. When your session limit is reached, you'll be automatically logged out — giving you a natural opportunity to step back.
Take a short break from gambling — 24 hours, 48 hours, or up to 30 days — without committing to full self-exclusion. During a cooling-off period, your account access is suspended but your balance and data remain intact. Activate instantly through Account Settings.
Request a temporary exclusion (minimum 30 days) or permanent exclusion from the aatoto Platform. Self-exclusion is enforced immediately via email, IP address, and device-level blocking. During exclusion, you will not receive any promotional communications from us. Request through Account Settings or [email protected].
Receive regular on-screen pop-up summaries showing your total session time, number of bets placed, and net win/loss figure at intervals you configure — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes. These prompts are designed to interrupt automatic play patterns and encourage conscious decision-making.
Deposit limits are the single most effective tool for keeping your gambling affordable and within a pre-planned budget. At aatoto, all three limit types — daily, weekly, and monthly — can be active simultaneously. The most restrictive applicable limit always takes precedence.
Important: Requests to reduce your deposit limit take effect immediately. Requests to increase your limit are subject to a mandatory 7-day waiting period and are reviewed by our Responsible Gambling team before being applied. This cooling-off period is intentional — it gives you time to reconsider before a higher limit activates.
All responsible gambling tools on aatoto are designed to be easy to find and faster to activate than to deactivate — by design. Here's how to set them up:
Access your aatoto member account from any device. All responsible gambling tools are available on both desktop and mobile browser — no app download required.
Click on your username or profile icon in the top right corner. Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu, then navigate to the "Responsible Gambling" tab.
Choose the tool you want to activate — deposit limit, wagering limit, session timer, cooling-off, or self-exclusion. Enter your preferred limit or duration and confirm. Changes take effect immediately for restrictions.
You will receive a confirmation email to your registered address as soon as the tool is activated. Save this email for your records. If you don't receive a confirmation within 10 minutes, contact our support team immediately.
If you prefer, any responsible gambling tool can be activated by contacting our support team via 24/7 live chat or at [email protected]. For self-exclusion requests, our team will action your request immediately without asking any questions about your reasons.
Self-exclusion is the most powerful responsible gambling tool available on the aatoto platform. It is designed for situations where other tools — deposit limits, cooling-off periods — are not sufficient to maintain control. If you feel that gambling is negatively affecting your finances, relationships, mental health, or work performance, self-exclusion may be the right choice for you.
Self-exclusion on aatoto is enforced through a combination of account suspension, email address blocking, IP address restriction, and device fingerprint blocking. We take every reasonable technical step to honour your request. Once a self-exclusion is active, all marketing communications from aatoto will cease immediately.
Important: Self-exclusion is not a substitute for professional help. If you are experiencing a gambling problem that is significantly impacting your life, we strongly encourage you to seek professional support in addition to — or alongside — self-exclusion. Please see the support resources section on this page.
All exclusion periods activate immediately. Permanent exclusion cannot be reversed. To re-register after a temporary exclusion ends, you must contact our Responsible Gambling team who will carry out a welfare assessment before reinstating access.
Problem gambling rarely announces itself clearly. It typically develops gradually. The following warning signs — individually or in combination — may indicate that your gambling has moved beyond healthy entertainment:
You find yourself spending more time or money on gambling than you originally planned, and struggling to stop when you intend to.
You chase losses — placing larger bets than usual to try to win back money you've already lost.
Gambling occupies a significant amount of your thoughts, even when you're at work, with family, or trying to sleep.
You have borrowed money, sold possessions, or used savings intended for essential expenses in order to fund gambling activity.
You feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you try to cut down or stop gambling.
You have hidden your gambling activity, lied about how much you've spent, or felt shame or guilt about your gambling behaviour.
Gambling has negatively affected your relationships with family or friends, your performance at work, or your physical or mental health.
If any of these signs resonate with you, please take action now. Contact our support team via live chat to activate a cooling-off period or self-exclusion immediately. Early intervention is far more effective than waiting until the situation becomes more serious.
The following questions are adapted from widely used responsible gambling self-assessment frameworks. Honest reflection on these questions can help you gauge whether your gambling remains within healthy boundaries. If you answer "yes" to several of these, consider speaking to a professional.
Have you ever felt the need to bet more money than you originally planned in order to get the same level of excitement from gambling?
Have you ever returned to gamble on another day in order to win back money you lost — commonly known as "chasing losses"?
Have you ever lied to someone close to you — a partner, family member, or friend — about how often you gamble or how much money is involved?
Have you ever missed work, school, or an important commitment because of time spent gambling or recovering from a gambling session?
Have you ever gambled as a way to escape from personal problems, financial stress, depression, or difficult emotions?
Have you ever felt that you have a problem with gambling, even briefly? Has anyone in your life ever expressed concern about your gambling behaviour?
